Dirk Davidson, M.D.
President & Co-Founder

Dr. Dirk Davidson has nearly 20 years in the oncology field, first working with a large group practice and then in 2004 starting a solo practice, Tennessee Plateau Oncology.  Shortly after his practice opened, he co-founded Oncology Partners based on the practice’s billing and management success.  Dr. Davidson enjoys the unique opportunities and challenges his practice brings, and welcomes the chance to work with patients from all over the United States.

Dr. Davidson received a bachelor degree from Dartmouth College and his doctorate of medicine from West Virginia University, and he completed his medical residency with The Medical University of South Carolina.  He is a member of the Tennessee Medical Association and serves as secretary for the Cumberland County Medical Society.

 

Kevin Combs

Kevin Combs has more than 15 years of medical billing and practice management experience within the oncology industry. In 2003, he joined Dr. Dirk Davidson's rural Tennessee Plateau Oncology practice and quickly established the practice's solvency and impressive financial growth. A year later, Combs and Davidson co-founded Oncology Partners (OP) to share their financial strategies with other practices. Combs continues to manage the practice in addition to his consultancy with OP clients.

Combs' day-to-day practice management skills are augmented by a staid commitment to keeping abreast of the latest insurance and Medicare billing codes, payment tactics and management strategies. He regularly attends oncology, practice management and group purchasing organization (GPO) industry seminars including those hosted by Association of Community Cancer Centers, Southern Oncology Alliance of Practices, Association of Medical Oncology, ION, Onmark and Innovatix.

Prior to his relationship with OP, Combs honed his financial and management skills with a variety of oncology organizations including a large consulting firm, rural and urban practices and a 250 bed medical center. This diverse work portfolio gives Combs the unique perspective of one who can apply consulting, billing and management expertise in a variety of oncology settings. Credentials aside -- it is Combs' honest dedication to his clients' needs (revealed in six career customer service awards) which makes his one-on-one guidance so unique and successful.

For more than a decade, Combs has been an active member and former co-chair of the Administrator's Network of the Tennessee Oncology Practice Society (TOPS). He is also a member and former advisor to Innovatix, the nation's largest GPO serving the non-acute care marketplace.
